Winter Skin Survival
It is COLD outside, at least here in DC. We have the heat cranked up, but boy does it wreak havoc on your looks!
There are a couple of ways I try to combat looking like a dried out mess for these few months.
Hair
Just recently switched back to my chroma riche. Helps to keep locks, especially those highlighted ones, super smooth
Face
Whatever lotion you use, double or triple up at night. I have tried tons of products, lots of high end brands (the mineral oil in la mer and I don't mix) and this cheap little bottle helps keep my skin hydrated without any breakouts or red patches
Body
I use Laura Mercier, but any thicker body butter or richer treatment will do the trick. The more vitaminE the better!
Hands
This stuff is the only hand cream to do the trick for harsh winter month, unglamorous but effective.
The Nose & Lips
Ocean Spray use it often to help keep nose bleeds at bay, Vaseline or in severe cases A&D ointment (especially at night)-my pediatrician recommended this to my mom when I was little- will help keep your kisser from cracking, the smell is far from fruity but it does trick!
The House
I soak a washcloth and drape it over a drawer pull on my nightstand to help from "nighttime dry out" a shallow dish of water (replaced daily) will also work the same way.
MOST IMPORTANTLY
Water, Water, Water! I drink a gallon a day, yes I am totally serious. I have my huge Tervi with me all day and guzzle as much as I can to help ward off skin dryness, viruses and any other little bugs that can easily be flushed out with fluids.
Did I miss anything? Any other Winter Skin Survival tips? I would love to hear what you do!

I use that face lotion too and love it. On the other hand, I really need to start drinking more water! Maybe that should have been my new year's resolution...
