The car seat bag was a beast, in hindsight I would have spent the extra money for one with wheels. That being said the entire experience with a "Lap Baby" was awesome. We gate checked her carseat to ensure it was the first thing off the plane as opposed to trying to pick it up at baggage claim - leaving lots of room for it to get lost and or damaged. We flew Southwest and took advantage of "Family Boarding" allowing us to snag a middle and aisle seat in case I needed to get up and walk around.
To say I was nervous/stressed would be an understatement, all eyes were on Ms Peanut and I at the gate, everyone wondering if this little lady would scream the entire way. She did nothing of the sort. I kid you not My daughter laughed hysterically for a majority of the flight, over what we don't know but we were laughing right along with her. My Mom snapped some pics to document her giggle fit:)
And now for the most unflattering pictures of myself ever...
My bestie Jen and I (her twin sister was the shower honoree) whipped up a diaper cake in the hotel after a fantastic dinner at Oscars followed by the most absurd ice cream ever at Jenis both in Dublin. Ms Peanut did her part by "riding" around in the pampers box on the carpet.
She had her first hotel breakfast in her pajamas (the life I tell you)

I love diaper cakes. I didn't even take mine apart until my baby was a month old though because when he arrived, I was suddenly very busy. : ) lol
