In Desperate need of a tan!

I did it, I tried on my first bathing suit of the season, it was terrifying. Thanks to "buff brides" i definitely fit into smaller suit sizes which is always nice, but I realized one thing as i tugged the bright spandex over my white tushy-I NEED A SERIOUS TAN!
I have been really really happy with the self tanner I have been using for the past few years, but I am always and forever in search of new beauty products.

My Current go to ...

Clarins-Self Tanning Instant Gel
Doesn't streak, still smells a little, gives decent color-its worked well in winter months, when having a dark tan with 3 feet of snow on the ground would look absurd!

I need to try these...

Tan Towel

these things are always sold out at blue mercury and magazines always rave about them, so I am going to have to give them a whirl

St. Tropez Bronzing Lotion

I used this a while ago, and while the smell was pretty bad the results were a deep, dark glow-I am willing to give it another go:)

What do you use?? I would love to have some new products to try, Especially for the face!

Happy Friday!

I hear ya girlfriend! So needing a tan! The Tan Towels are hands down the best. As with all self tanners, use a little lotion on your elbows/knees/toes, etc. after applying just to make sure the little cracks are filled in. What's great about them too is you can always apply another should you want to go darker. YAY for smaller bikinis, good for you!! OXO

I’ve heard wonderful things about Clarins and that the delicious self tanning cream is good too. I never heard of the gel before and might need to try that. Tan towels I’ve also heard are great from a few people (still never tried them).

I’ve been bad and have actually been in the tanning bed a few times this year already (I know…shame on me). We have a cruise that we’re going on next month and I need some color. I usually just use Dove Energy Glow.

I have stopped laying in the tanning bed and haven't been in one in almost a year. But, that has led me to constantly being on the hunt for the perfect self tanners. So far, I like Fake Bake self tanning lotion, and St. Tropez (step 3). I use each product just as the directions say to, and they work wonderfully! The color that each lotion achieves is great. I like St. Tropez a little bit better, because it dries more quickly at night after I apply. And, I don't think the smell is as bad as Fake Bake. But, both lotions "wash off" in the morning and the smell isn't an issue. Also, sometimes I will mix a tiny bit of the St. Tropez with my face moisturizer and regular body lotion before getting ready in the morning time for an extra glow. Hope this helps!! Good luck, and let me know if you fall in love with a self tanner!

Excellent idea to get a tan! I am very white and the sun makes my skin red, so I think a good idea to create products that give color to the skin without exposure to the sun as the gel shown in this blog, these products can help the relationship with my husband why we buy viagra, and now with my new tan, we're going to have so much fun
