I Love Tea-Time! Mom started taking me to tea as a little girl downtown at the Mayflower and it has been one of my absolute favorite things to do ever since. I have had the great pleasure of having tea at some of the oldest most amazing hotels in the district, most states on the East Coast, even Ireland and England! High tea is so charming with dainty little sandwiches, petit-fours and the most delectable sweets imaginable. My Bestie even threw me a Tea-Party bridal shower last year, it was absolutely amazing! This time of year is the best for having tea. My mom has a tea every year in February where she makes the most unbelievable cucumber tea sandwiches, and the cutest teensy little chicken salad rolls. She invites all of her girlfriends, and she uses my grandmothers collection of vintage china teacups-they are so beautiful! They are similar to the styles below. I would love to have planned a Christmas tea party with girlfriends this year but the time has just gotten away from me.
I will leave you with some of my favorite tea party pics...

Vintage Tea cups

Holy Tea Sammys!

Scones, clotted cream, jam, and lemon curd (yum!)

I adore 3 tiered serving trays, we have zero storage space or I would absolutely have a few!

Flowers (especially vintage roses, tea roses or ranunculus) add such a feminine touch to any ladies tea-party
Whether its out of a vintage tea cup or an old chipped coffee mug, I hope once in a while you get to kick back and relax with a warm cup of tea:)

You are so cute. I hope that you have a daughter someday so that you can carry on the tea time tradition! What a fabulous party idea!
I love those vintage teacups! That is such a fun tradition.
When I went to London with my aunt we had high tea. It was a very neat experience.
The last one is so pretty!
Absolute class! Love it! I can't wait to treat my nieces to tea one day - my goal is to take them to Harrod's and have tea together on the rooftop :) I've done it before and it's quite magical :) Hope you're having a great week!
